Charity Wambui Kamau is a founding member and Pastor
of the Kenyan Community International Church . Having received
her
calling from God in the year 2000, Pastor Charity obediently fulfilled
this calling with others in the Kenyan Immigrant Community to start
a church in Seattle , Washington . The purpose of the church was
to bring Kenyans together, to worship God and fellowship as one,
and to support each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Pastor
Charity was the first Immigrant woman to be commissioned
by the Presbyterian Church (USA). She was commissioned by the Presbytery
of Seattle in the year 2001.

The
Kenyan Community International Church is a name that fully characterizes
the spirit of the congregation. Pastor Charity has seen the fulfillment
of Ephesians 3:20 in her
life – “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh
in us.”
Beginning with less than 20 members in December of 2000, membership
at Church now exceeds 200. The church indeed has an international
status with parishioners coming from Kenya, Burundi, Congo, and
the U.S. Pastor Charity acknowledges the hand of God in all this.
The KCIC is making a difference in the
lives of its parishioners and the community.
Pastor
Charity seeks a tremendous passion for God’s word
coupled with a love for God’s people. She has a contagious
spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of her ministry.
Her vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle;
to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God. Holding
firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations”. Her prayer is for God
to open a way for her to conduct full-time ministry and fulfill
her passion of service to God’s people. In everything, Pastor
Charity Thanks God for the Honor and Privilege to serve Him.
